Are you dealing with someone who doesn't see or recognize your potential? They 'dis' and 'dismiss' you but God hasn't given up on you. They're so busy looking on the outside that they don't see the gem on the inside. They think you will never amount to anything, but God refuses to let them have the final word. Here's the Sinclair remix. God is allowing your haters to stay around to see how He's about to elevate you.

The Bible tells us when Samuel went to anoint the new king of Israel, he assumed Eliab was the man because of his looks. But God interrupted the process with these words, "For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." David was chosen because of his potential. That's my word for you. If you remain faithful to God, you'll reach your promise. If you keep your hand in God's hand, He'll lead you. When God elevates you, it's not your time to brag, but a time of praise saying, 'no dissing and dismissing done against me can stop what God has in store for me. Stay focused on God's calling for your life and get ready.
Scripture for the Day:
"You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." (Exodus 20:7 -NKJV)

When things don't go according to plan, there's a tendency to feel insignificant. Let me say it this way. When plans don't fall through, when people don't support you, when God doesn't show up when you want Him, and when you've done all you can and you're still not where you want to be, it's easy to question your significance. Well, I'm here to inform  you that you are significant. Even though you may not have what you want or be where you want to be, your life is significant. I want you to get into your spirit, you are not a mistake. You are valuable in the sight of God.

The Bible tells us when God created the world, He spoke and it was. But for man, he shaped and formed man in His own image and "He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Please don't miss this. The Spirit of God on the inside of you gives you meaning. As one of my mentors dropped in my spirit, 'where you are isn't as important as who you are.' That's my word for you. You are significant because you're a child of God. Always remember no matter what happens to you, you have meaning.
Scripture for the Day:
"The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the minds of fools."(Proverbs 15:7 -NRSV)

Don't Get Fooled By Looks by Dr. Sinclair Grey III

Have you ever met someone who seemed perfect on the outside, but flawed on the inside? In other words, they appeared to have it going on, but they were messed up from the floor up. Looks can be deceiving. What looks fine on the outside can be a decoy to the real issues on the inside. Many people will dress up, look good, and perpetrate a fraud when they have issues, challenges, and problems. All of us have stuff going on in our life, but the real problem is when we deny our problems and act as though we're perfect.
In this life, I've discovered that people get fooled everyday by what they see on the outside. That's right; the appearance of a person can make it seem as though they have it all together, however, when many of these people retire from a full day, tears fall down their face. They contemplate their loneliness. In a real sense, they may even question their own self-esteem and self-identity. There values stem from things and people. Please don't miss this. When you judge yourself by the standards of people or things, you lower your value. Your value isn't in the latest fashion. It's not in being popular. And it's not in your socio-economic status. Your value is in being a child of God and doing His will.

In this spiritual journey, you must move beyond the surface of an individual to get to the core. Let me say it this way. Ask the person about their goals and aspirations? Ask them about their faith and how important is their faith? Ask them about their values, morals, and principles? Please don't get so caught up with how a person looks on the outside that you fail to adhere to what's important to you as an individual. Yes, looks are important, but looks should never dominate what you want out of life. Check this out - when you're so focused on a person's looks, you'll lose sight and fall on your face. How so? Because you'll allow what you'll see in the natural to overrule what God wants you to see in the spiritual.

In the Bible, when Samuel was looking for the next King of Israel, he spotted a handsome man from the house of Jesse and thought to himself that he (Eliab) was the one. However, God intervened with these words, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looksat. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at theheart." That's my word for you. Before you get so excited about a how a person looks, spend some time looking at their heart and character. As my mentor would say, 'the heart and character will reveal true beauty.' Here's the Sinclair remix. Don't get fooled by a person's looks because inner beauty will always win out in the long run.

"Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner." (Proverbs 13:6 -NIV)

Faithfulness Taking It To A New Level by Henry Jaegers - Testimonial Tuesday

Faithfulness Taking It To A New Level
by Henry Jaegers

Several years ago while putting forth a bible study on the book of Revelation, I had a revelation (so to speak). While studying chapter 14, the message of faithfulness hit me hard and while writing, I recommitted my life to become a faithful Christian. This experience caused me to change the title of my studies to “The Reward of Faithfulness”. This has started an avalanche of new experiences in my life related to my own past failures.

I  thought that making “being faithful” my goal would be a great start, but I did not foresee the difficulties I would encounter by doing this. Being faithful is not something I plan to do someday when after my T.V. breaks down or I am too feeble to do anything else. Being faithful is not something I plan to be, it is something that is happening now. Being Faithful to Christ affects how I study the scriptures, and how much time I spend in God’s presence every day. It affects what I allow my eyes to see, what I allow my ears to hear and the speech my tongue utters.

When I talk to people about being faithful I get the impression that I am speaking in an unknown tongue. Perhaps they think being Faithful means not to depart from the faith and being faithful to the church program .I am discovering different areas of my life that needs to be changed on a regular basis.

Just recently I determined that I would try harder to do something about my weight. This year my cholesterol level has increased significantly that I need to make some changes, I thought that increasing my exercise to five and seven days a week would help. I went back to the Dr. two weeks ago and he decided that I need to go on medication. This was a wake up call to me. I needed to take serious action. I needed to lose the weight but was unsuccessful in my attempt.

I have not applied this matter of faithfulness to my general health. Before I take the medicine, I decided to tackle this matter of faithfulness on a spiritual level. In the past ten days I have lost eight pounds and it has been easier than any weight loss program .I decided to trust God in this matter of what I allow myself to eat. I have experienced new areas of overcoming temptation that have defeated me before. Always, it was the fleshly side of me struggling to win. Just recently, the still small voice spoke ever so gently to my soul and said “Just trust me.” Can it be that easy? I am finding out what the ten spies failed to understand.. I am strong only in the presence of God’s strength. People who know me know also that I have a history of failure. With God’s help I can win this battle and just imagine the testimony and opportunities that exist to help others at work who do not know and understand the power of God.

The reward of Faithfulness is immeasurable. Who knows what God will do, when I allow being faithful to work out His new work in me. I don’t need to worry about how God is working in others. What is important is what new changes is He accomplishing in me?

Abundant Life by Joy Maloney

Abundant Life by Joy Maloney

Jesus said, "I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." St. John 10:10 (NKJV)

Every morning, most of us start our day with what we believe to be a healthy breakfast, chat with family and friends, and preparation for a busy day of work, school or play. At the end of our day, we try to unwind by spending time watching television, on the computer or some other gadget. As we prepare for bed, we might say to ourselves, we had a good day or a terrible day.

It is God's intention for us to have a joyful and fulfilling life. Little things in life like taking a stroll in the park, noticing a budding flower or saying, 'How are you today?' to a neighbor give us a satisfying and happy disposition. Over and above these things, however, the God of the heavens and the earth, desires a personal relationship with us. When we acknowlege Him as our Maker, and turn from our selfish ways, He gives a peace and a hope that is past our understanding. We have a joy, even when we are facing adverse situations. His Word declares that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us.

Ultimately, God promises everlasting joy and peace to all those who put their trust in Him. You can begin to experience this abundance today. Put your trust in God and may His blessings be yours.

Nothing Wrong With Having An Attitude As Long As It's A Good One by Dr. Sinclair Grey III

Editor's Note: This article is written by Dr. Sinclair Grey III, Senior Pastor, The Liberation Temple, a non-denominational Christian Church in Mt. Rainier, Maryland.

Having a funky attitude is a major turn-off. Let me say it this way. When your attitude isn't attractive, you have no one to blame but yourself. You can't blame anyone for what you project. Check this out - If you blame others for you having a funky and filthy attitude, then you need to regain control of who you are, who you belong to (God) and allow Him to work on you and in you. I'm on assignment to let you know that you were not born with a bad attitude. You were not created to have a bad attitude. And having a bad attitude is a sure way of keeping blessings from you.

The writer of Proverbs penned the words, " A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold." Please don't miss this. The word 'name' in Hebrew is Shem which means reputation. Before you get 'super-holy' on me and shout 'I don't care what others think of me,' you better recognize you're an ambassador for the Kingdom of God. Here's the Sinclair remix. A funky/filthy attitude doesn't draw people to God; it deters them. With that said, make sure you project a positive attitude. A positive attitude will open doors for you. A poor attitude won't do anything for you but keep you in a state of misery.
Scripture for the Day:
"A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished." (Proverbs 23:3- NKJV)

Are You Alive, But Not Living? by Rick Bai - Testimonial Tuesday

Are You Alive, But Not Living?
by Rick Bai

How are you living life? Are you finding enjoyment or just going through the motions? Look around, you see a lot of sad people. What in the world is happening to us, life wasn't intended to be like this, why are so many people unhappy?

Material Things
It's not a secret that we live in a material world, it also is evident that having all these material things doesn't buy happiness. What's the answer? Doesn't it feel like a revolving door that will never end, or is it time to change our thinking. There are The Seven Deadly Sins that God warned us of, then and today we still allow into our lives. Busy lives don't pay attention to these sins and yet they have such a big impact on how we live.

Think About It
What is it that consumes your thoughts? Is it money, fear, worries, stress, exhaustion, name your poison. When is the last time you considered trading these feelings in exchange for getting back your happiness? All these "Things" everybody says you need, is it worth the loss of living? All you have to do is take a little time to Understand Sin again and realize how it works. Some say the simple life is in the past, I say it all depends what kind of future you want, the choice is yours.
